Resident Involvement

Getting involved

We are committed to involving and consulting residents in all areas of our service. Are you a CCH resident? If so, by becoming involved you could help us improve our service to you, voice the issues that affect your neighbourhood, or work towards improving the facilities in your community.

Check out how you can get involved in your community, and see if there are any groups set up in your area.

If you want any further information you can contact Jaz Kundi, our Resident Involvement Manager on 0845 009 2404 or e-mail her at jaz.kundi@sanctuary-housing.co.uk.

Help from C.C.H.

By getting involved you can benefit

  • You can get free training, expenses and support to develop your knowledge and skills of housing and community issues.

  • Your experience, knowledge and skills, would give us feedback to improve housing services for residents.

  • Working in the community helps to promote social inclusion so everyone has an opportunity to have a say or to take part in activities and decisions.

  • Active communities help support themselves and become sustainable communities where people want to live.

How much commitment is needed?

There can be as much or as little as you like. Even if you only have one hour free, you can make a difference. You can;

  • Take part in questionnaires

  • Become a member of a strategy working group

  • Join Residents Voice and represent your area

Taking part in questionnaires

By taking part in questionnaire surveys from time to time you can provide us with very valuable feedback on our services.

Working Groups

We have ongoing working groups which meet to work with our staff to implement the three year resident involvement strategy. Meetings take place once a month for approximately two hours.

Residents' Voice newsletter group

This group produces a newsletter for tenants and leaseholders.

Residents' Voice

*Residents Voice logo
*Residents Voice

Residents' Voice will have fifteen elected members, 3 representing each of Banbury, Bicester, Kidlington, Villages North and Villages South. They sit on Residents Voice for a period of three years before standing down. They represent residents in their area and bring issues to Residents' Voice that have not been resolved through normal channels. It is the main body for residents and plays an active part in the running of C.C.H., on all matters relating to housing services including policies, practices, your rights, conditions, amenities and ideas for improving services. Any resident or tenant body can come along to the monthly meetings.

Residents Associations

This is an elected group who work on behalf of their members to achieve improvements in housing, the environment and socially within the community.
