How can you access our information?
Access for all
Here at Charter we are committed to ensuring that all of our services are accessible to all sections of the community. We believe that communication should not form a barrier preventing our customers accessing our services.
We have a range of options that we can use to provide you with information in a format that helps you.
Options available
Charter can provide information for you in a number of different formats;

If you have a visual impairment and it would help you to receive copies of Newsletters or important information from Charter in a larger print size, this can be arranged. Copies of our information leaflets can be printed off of our website, are available on request from our main reception or by contacting one of our Customer Service Assistants on 0845 009 2500. |

|
Braille copies of key information documents can be made available in Braille upon request for those tenants that are registered blind. Contact one of our Customer Service Assistants on 0845 009 2500 and we will provide you with a copy as soon as possible. | ||
| Taped Copies | |||
|
If you know of one of our tenants who is registered blind and it would help them to receive taped copies of key information documents, leaflets and our quarterly newsletter "Charter News", this too can be arranged. Alternatively you may have or might know of a tenant that has learning difficulties and an Audio tape would help. Tapes are available on request from our main Reception or by contacting one of our Customer Service Assistants on 0845 009 2500. | ||
| Induction Loop | |||
|
Charter has in its main Reception at Old Bodicote House an induction loop for tenants with a hearing impairment. We also have portable induction loops that our visiting officers can bring with them to your home if you feel this would help. If you are arranging for a Charter member of staff to visit you in your home and you believe that an induction loop would help, please let the visiting officer know so that they can come to your house equipped. |

|
Charter has access to Language Line which gives immediate access to translators and interpreters. Posters are displayed in our reception area telling customers that we will provide an interpreter or translator upon request. Information leaflets can be made available in alternative community languages on request by contacting one of our Customer Service Assistants on 0845 009 2500. |

| Type Talk | |||
|
Our Customer Service Assistants are familiar with how the service works and can deal with calls received in this way from tenants with hearing impairments or speech difficulties via a Type Talk telephone operator. |

| Text Phone | |||
|
A mobile phone is also available for tenants with hearing impairments or speech difficulties. The number is 07815 946025. This phone can also be used generally by tenants that prefer to contact us by SMS text messages. Please note that text messages to this number will be charged at your standard mobile network rate. |

What you should do
If you would like to take advantage of any of the services listed above you can either start using them now or contact us on the numbers stated so that we can arrange for you to receive information and documents in your chosen format. Any information you supply us with will be used by Charter for the sole purpose of helping us to help you.
