Lettings Team
The Lettings team at Charter:- Provide advice about how to access the common housing register
- Explain how Choice Based Lettings works within Cherwell District Council and how to bid for properties
- Give advice about how to end your tenancy
- Advertise empty properties on the Oxfordshire Home Choice website
- Take up references and make formal offers of tenancy
- Undertake accompanied viewings
- Arrange for a Needs Assessment to be carried out on all sheltered applicants who come to us through Choice Based Lettings to ensure they qualify for the support
- Identify any other support needs which might help individuals sustain their tenancies eg benefits advice, occupational therapist, referral to tenancy support workers
- Explain tenancy obligations and complete tenancy sign ups
- Manage the letting of empty properties to ensure they are not vacant any longer than necessary
